What war does



More of our sons and brothers died this week. When we hear the numbers, it's hard sometimes to remember that they're people, whole people, people who have lives and were happy once.

Here's a story about one of them, Jason Lucas. Take a moment and look at him holding his children.

Local papers all around the country run this same story every week. Somehow the big news outlets don't pick this stuff up.

I don't have anything smart to say. I just thought he looked like a nice guy, and I hope his sons will smile again someday.
