Bad megacorporation!

Here is a search on google: tiananmen

Here's the same search on google china: tiananmen

That ain't right.

What aren't they showing us?

Yahoo does the same thing.

I don't know if MSN does, but what do you think?

American corporations should be less eager to appease dictators. Imagine the PR if you refused to kowtow to an asian despot? Would you lose the chinese market? HELL NO. People would risk death to use your search engine.

Because they would trust it.

Tiananmen Square, site of a peaceful protest put down by tanks. Chinese people gathered to protest the communist regime and instead of being allowed to voice their longing for freedom, the Chinese military was called in by the government to squash the protest and arrest and kill as many of the protestors as they could. The same regime still in power today that America has granted most favored nation status.

Kind of makes your stomach turn. Our government gives a regime that has killed far more than Sadam most favored nation status because it is in our economic interests. When our companies open sites there we have to bow to this regime's rules.

Google should have stuck with its motto, "Don't be evil" and maybe taken it further by remembering, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
